Shipping, Pickup and Local Transport Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Shipping, Pickup and Local Transport Policy applies to physical products purchased from OVDV BV, trading as OVDV Tuinmachines.
It explains the available options for customer pickup from the OVDV workshop, parcel delivery through DPD and local home delivery or home pickup arranged directly by OVDV.
Mandatory consumer rights under Belgian and European law remain unaffected.
1. Available Fulfilment Options
Customer pickup from the OVDV workshop is available for every physical product that is not a Service.
Products that are eligible for delivery are marked accordingly in the online store.
The delivery and pickup options actually available for the selected products and delivery address will be displayed during checkout.
Depending on the product, size, weight, destination and availability, the following options may be offered:
- customer pickup from the OVDV workshop;
- parcel delivery through DPD;
- local home delivery arranged by OVDV on request;
- local home pickup arranged by OVDV on request.
If no delivery option is displayed during checkout, the product remains available for customer pickup unless OVDV separately confirms another transport arrangement.
2. Customer Pickup From the OVDV Workshop
Customer pickup is available for every physical product purchased from OVDV that is not a Service.
The customer collects the order personally, or arranges for an authorised person to collect it, from:
OVDV BV
Heirweg 74
9270 Kalken
Belgium
An order is not necessarily ready for collection immediately after it has been placed.
OVDV will inform the customer when the order is ready and will confirm the applicable collection arrangements.
The customer should not travel to the workshop before receiving confirmation that the order is ready for pickup.
OVDV may request the order confirmation and reasonable proof of identity when an order is collected.
If another person collects the order, OVDV may request confirmation that this person is authorised by the customer.
No standard shipping fee applies to customer pickup from the OVDV workshop.
3. Parcel Delivery Through DPD
Products that can be delivered through DPD are marked accordingly in the online store.
The available DPD delivery option and the applicable delivery charge are displayed during checkout after the customer has entered the relevant delivery information.
The availability of DPD delivery depends on:
- the selected products;
- parcel dimensions and weight;
- packaging requirements;
- permitted contents;
- the delivery destination;
- applicable safety and transport restrictions.
Where DPD delivery is not available for one or more products in an order, the checkout may offer customer pickup or another available delivery arrangement.
The customer may receive tracking information after the parcel has been prepared and handed over to DPD.
A tracking estimate or delivery window does not constitute a guaranteed delivery appointment unless OVDV has expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.
4. Products That Cannot Be Sent Through DPD
Some products cannot be sent through DPD because of their size, weight, shape, contents or applicable transport restrictions.
This may include certain:
- large garden machines;
- oversized or heavy products;
- sharp components;
- batteries;
- fuels, oils, aerosols or liquids;
- products containing regulated or potentially dangerous materials.
If a product cannot be sent through DPD, OVDV may:
- offer customer pickup from the workshop;
- offer local home delivery on request;
- propose another suitable delivery arrangement;
- cancel the affected item and refund any amount already paid for that item.
5. OVDV Home Delivery
OVDV may arrange local home delivery on request for eligible products or machines.
Home delivery is not automatically included with an order and must be requested and confirmed separately by OVDV.
Local home delivery is available to addresses within a maximum distance of 50 kilometres from the OVDV workshop at Heirweg 74, 9270 Kalken.
A flat transport fee of €30 per journey applies for confirmed home delivery within this area.
Availability depends on:
- the delivery address;
- the size, weight and nature of the product or machine;
- vehicle capacity;
- OVDV’s planning and availability;
- safe and reasonable access to the delivery location.
The delivery date and time window become binding only after confirmation by OVDV.
6. OVDV Home Pickup
OVDV may arrange local home pickup on request for eligible products, Rental Equipment or machines that need to be transported to the workshop for an agreed Service.
Home pickup is not automatically included and must be requested and confirmed separately by OVDV.
Local home pickup is available from addresses within a maximum distance of 50 kilometres from the OVDV workshop at Heirweg 74, 9270 Kalken.
A flat transport fee of €30 per journey applies for confirmed home pickup within this area.
The customer must ensure that:
- the correct product or machine is ready at the agreed time;
- the machine is reasonably accessible and can be moved safely;
- any loose accessories are provided separately;
- relevant information about fuel, oil, batteries or technical issues is communicated beforehand;
- a contact person is available where this has been agreed.
The pickup date and time window become binding only after confirmation by OVDV.
7. Separate Transport Journeys
Home delivery and home pickup are separate transport journeys.
Where both home delivery and a later home pickup are requested, the flat transport fee applies separately to each journey.
For example, a confirmed home delivery followed by a later confirmed home pickup will normally result in two transport charges of €30.
Any different transport arrangement or combined price must be expressly confirmed by OVDV in writing.
8. Services and Rental Equipment
Repairs, maintenance, installations, garden work, service agreements and other Services are not shipped as ordinary parcel orders.
The appointment, machine drop-off, home pickup, home delivery, workshop collection and other arrangements relating to a Service are confirmed separately.
Rental Equipment is also subject to the relevant rental product page, booking confirmation and OVDV Terms of Service.
This Policy applies to the relevant transport arrangements. The OVDV Terms of Service govern the performance, use, return, cancellation and other conditions relating to the Rental Equipment or Service.
9. Shipping and Transport Costs
The applicable shipping or transport cost will be:
- displayed during checkout;
- included in a quotation; or
- communicated before the relevant transport arrangement is confirmed.
DPD delivery costs may depend on:
- parcel size and weight;
- the number of parcels;
- the delivery destination;
- the selected delivery option;
- special packaging or handling requirements.
Customer pickup from the OVDV workshop does not include a standard shipping fee.
OVDV home delivery and home pickup within 50 kilometres are charged at €30 per confirmed journey unless another written arrangement applies.
OVDV will not charge an additional shipping or transport cost that was not communicated before the customer accepted the relevant order or arrangement.
10. Delivery Area and Availability
The delivery methods available for the selected products and delivery address are displayed during checkout.
DPD delivery is only available where the products, parcel and destination meet the applicable delivery requirements.
Local home delivery and home pickup by OVDV are available only on request, subject to confirmation, and are limited to addresses within 50 kilometres of the OVDV workshop.
If no delivery option is displayed during checkout, the customer may select workshop pickup or contact OVDV to ask whether another transport arrangement is possible.
OVDV may refuse or cancel a delivery or pickup request where:
- the address is outside the available area;
- the product or machine cannot be transported safely;
- reasonable access is unavailable;
- the required vehicle or capacity is unavailable;
- the requested transport would breach legal or carrier restrictions.
11. Processing and Delivery Times
Product availability and estimated preparation or delivery times are shown on the product page, during checkout or in the order confirmation where available.
Orders are processed after the order has been accepted and any required payment has been received.
Processing may take longer where:
- a product must be ordered from a supplier;
- the order includes several products;
- special packaging is required;
- the delivery address or order information must be checked;
- the product cannot be accepted by DPD in its current form;
- local delivery or pickup must be scheduled;
- circumstances outside OVDV’s reasonable control cause a delay.
Unless another delivery period has been agreed, goods purchased by a consumer will be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 calendar days after conclusion of the contract.
If delivery cannot be completed within the agreed or legally applicable period, OVDV will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
12. Delivery and Pickup Information
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and correct delivery or pickup address, recipient name and contact information.
The customer should check this information before submitting the order and contact OVDV immediately if a correction is required.
OVDV cannot guarantee that a DPD delivery address can still be changed after an order has been prepared or handed over to DPD.
If delivery or pickup fails because the customer:
- provided incorrect or incomplete information;
- was unavailable where attendance was required;
- did not provide reasonable access;
- did not collect a DPD parcel within the carrier’s collection period;
- did not have the product or machine ready for an agreed home pickup,
OVDV may charge reasonable and documented costs for a new delivery attempt, return shipment or additional transport journey where permitted by law.
No such additional cost will be charged where the failed delivery or pickup was caused by OVDV and was not attributable to the customer.
13. Split Shipments
OVDV may send an order in more than one parcel where this is reasonable because of product availability, size, weight or packaging requirements.
The customer will not be charged an additional delivery fee for a split shipment initiated solely by OVDV unless this was agreed beforehand.
14. Transfer of Risk
For consumer orders delivered using DPD or another carrier selected by OVDV, the risk of loss or damage remains with OVDV until the consumer, or a third party appointed by the consumer other than the carrier, physically receives the goods.
If a consumer independently appoints a carrier that was not offered by OVDV, risk may pass when the goods are handed over to that carrier, as permitted by law.
For customer pickup from the workshop, risk generally passes when the product is handed over to the customer or the customer’s authorised representative.
For professional customers, the transfer of risk is governed by the applicable quotation, order confirmation or Belgian law.
15. Delayed or Missing DPD Delivery
If tracking information shows an unexpected delay or if an order has not arrived within the expected period, the customer should contact OVDV at service@ovdv.be.
OVDV will review the available shipment information and, where appropriate, contact DPD or start a carrier investigation.
If a consumer order is not delivered within the agreed period or, where no period was agreed, within 30 calendar days, the consumer may request delivery within an additional reasonable period.
If OVDV does not deliver within that additional period, the consumer may terminate the affected sales contract and receive reimbursement in accordance with applicable law.
An additional period is not required where OVDV refuses to deliver or where delivery by the agreed date was essential and this was clearly communicated before the contract was concluded.
16. Damaged Parcels, Missing Products or Incorrect Deliveries
The customer should inspect the parcel and products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Visible transport damage, missing products or an incorrect delivery should be reported to OVDV as soon as possible.
The report should include, where available:
- the order number;
- a description of the issue;
- photographs of the outer packaging;
- photographs of the shipping label;
- photographs of the damaged or incorrect product.
The customer should retain the product and packaging until OVDV confirms the next steps.
Reporting damage promptly helps OVDV investigate the shipment with DPD. It does not limit the customer’s mandatory legal rights.
17. Returns
Shipping and transport arrangements are separate from the customer’s rights concerning withdrawal, returns, defective products and the legal guarantee.
Information about withdrawal, return costs and refunds is provided in OVDV’s Returns, Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy.
Products should not be returned before following OVDV’s instructions, particularly where the product:
- is bulky or heavy;
- contains a battery;
- has been used with fuel or oil;
- contains liquids or regulated materials;
- is subject to DPD or other transport restrictions.
18. Circumstances Outside OVDV’s Control
Delivery or pickup may be delayed by circumstances outside OVDV’s reasonable control, including severe weather, traffic disruption, strikes, carrier delays, accidents, government measures, supplier delays, shortages or technical failures.
OVDV will inform the customer where reasonably possible and will try to arrange an appropriate solution.
Mandatory rights concerning delayed or failed delivery remain unaffected.
